Información legal

License, trademark, disclaimer.

TensorCash is a research-grade open protocol. This page covers the licenses under which the reference implementation is published, the rules around the TensorCash name and marks, the limits of what the software is and is not, and what we do — and do not — collect when you visit this site.

1. Open-source licenses

TensorCash is published across several repositories under more than one license. The authoritative, per-component map is LICENSING.md in the umbrella repository (with the accompanying NOTICE); the summary below mirrors it.

First-party code is released under the Apache License 2.0. This covers the umbrella repository's own code — including the proof-of-inference verifier (services/verification-api/) and the first-party shared utilities, scripts, deployment manifests, and documentation. Apache-2.0 is used deliberately for its explicit patent grant and patent-retaliation clause which, together with dated public disclosure, support a defensive posture around the project's novel verification methods. This is defensive publication plus a contributor patent grant — not a patent shield — and is not legal advice.

The Bitcoin-Core-derived consensus node — the core node, wallet, consensus rules, and native settlement contracts (bcore) — is under the MIT License, consistent with its upstream lineage. Bundled third-party components remain under the licenses set by their upstream authors:

  • Apache 2.0 — first-party umbrella code and the proof verifier; the vLLM forks; the vLLM production-stack fork; chiavdf.
  • MIT — bcore (core node, consensus, settlement contracts); the llama.cpp fork; secp256k1-zkp; liboqs.

Each repository carries its own LICENSE/COPYING and, where applicable, a NOTICE file; derivative components retain their upstream copyright notices and attributions (Bitcoin Core, vLLM, the llama.cpp / ggml authors, and others). Under both MIT and Apache-2.0 the software is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement; in no event are the authors or copyright holders liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the software.

Documentation, whitepapers, and the contents of this website are published under CC BY 4.0 unless explicitly marked otherwise.

2. Trademark

"TensorCash" is a name used by the project to identify the protocol, its reference implementation, and adjacent research. These licenses cover the code and documentation but do not grant rights to use the project's name, logo, or marks in a way that implies endorsement of, affiliation with, or origin from the project team. Use of the TensorCash name in product names, exchange listings, paid advertising, or public statements that suggest an official relationship requires prior written consent. Forks, research papers, and independent client implementations remain free to identify themselves as TensorCash-compatible.

3. Software disclaimer

TensorCash is research software. The protocol, its economic parameters, and its consensus rules are subject to change. Running the software on mainnet or any value-bearing network is at the operator's own risk. Nothing on this website, in the whitepapers, or in the source code constitutes investment, legal, or tax advice. The project has not conducted, and does not intend to conduct, a token sale, ICO, IDO, or any equivalent fundraising event. Any third party offering tokens, pre-sales, or "official" investment opportunities under the TensorCash name is acting without authority.

Operators of nodes, validators, and mining hardware are responsible for compliance with the laws of their own jurisdiction, including those concerning energy use, computing-equipment imports, telecom and broadcasting rules, KYC/AML obligations where the operator provides regulated services, and tax treatment of any rewards.

4. Privacy on this site

This website is statically generated and served from a CDN. It does not set tracking cookies, fingerprint visitors, or run third-party analytics. CDN-edge access logs may retain visitor IP addresses for a short retention window for the sole purpose of operating and securing the service; those logs are not joined to any identity, sold, or used for advertising.

When you contact us by email at the addresses published on this site, we process the message contents under the GDPR lawful basis of legitimate interest (responding to your enquiry). We do not add the email to a marketing list. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold, write to privacy@tensorcash.org.
