For miners and verifiers

Developers

TensorCash Core is built on Bitcoin Core, the main software of the Bitcoin network, and handles transactions, balances and signatures in the same way [1]. It adds six things [1].

AdditionWhat it does
Proof commitment in the headerEach block header also commits to the inference proof and to a target adjusted for the model.
Proof of timeEach block carries a calculation that takes a minimum amount of time to make and milliseconds to check, known as a verifiable delay function.
SidecarsLightweight wallets, and nodes that are still catching up, can request short summaries of blocks instead of full blocks.
Three checksProofs are checked in three steps. The quick and smell checks filter out bad proofs before they cost the network much effort. Only the full check decides whether a block counts towards the work behind the chain.
Presync gatesWhile a new node catches up, it compares competing versions of the chain by proof of time first, and only then by proof of work.
Reorg advisoryIf the chain is rewritten further back than usual, which is called a deep reorganisation, the node writes a report of what changed.

Interfaces

InterfaceWhat it is forDefault
JSON-RPCBitcoin Core's RPC, extended for mining, model registration, native assets, settlement contracts, cosigning and post-quantum spending. 445 commands [2].Port 39242 (mainnet)
Core node RESTInformation about models, the chain and the miner, protected with an optional access key [3].Port 8050
Mining APIOpenAI-compatible inference routes, plus /v1/proof/<completion_id>, which returns the proof of an answer [4].Served by the miner
Verifier RESTSubmits proofs to a verifier and returns the verdict [5].Port 9000
ZMQLive notifications for new blocks and transactions (hashblock, hashtx, rawblock, rawtx, sequence), the same as in Bitcoin Core [6].tcp://127.0.0.1:28332

The JSON-RPC commands are grouped by area. The largest groups are the Bitcoin Core methods (213), settlement contracts (73), cosigning (49) and native assets (48) [2].

Requests to the verifier are sent in a fixed binary format, FlatBuffers, defined in three files: proof.fbs, validation.fbs and blockheader.fbs [7]. Each interface has its own page in the API reference.

Source code and builds

The source code is public. The main repository is released under the Apache 2.0 licence, including the verifier (services/verification-api). The node (services/core-node/bcore) is a Bitcoin Core fork and keeps the MIT licence; the mining software (services/miner-api) builds on vLLM and llama.cpp under their upstream Apache 2.0 and MIT licences. The per-component map is LICENSING.md in the main repository [8]. The project does not publish binaries itself. Ready-made builds by community members are listed separately. Before running one, check its hash against the published SHA256SUMS file and the signature on that file, or build from source [9].

git clone --recurse-submodules https://git.tensorcash.org/tensorcash/tensorcash.git
docker build -f services/core-node/tor.Dockerfile -t tensorcash-core:dev .

Testing

Regtest runs a private chain on your own machine. The lightest setup runs only the node, with a stand-in verifier that approves every proof, so no GPU is needed. The heaviest runs the full stack in Docker [10]. The regtest guide walks through both setups step by step.

bitcoind -regtest -validationapi=mock -mockval-default-quick=quick_ok_smell_ok \
  -mockval-default-full=full_green -mockval-default-model=model_ok -daemon

The testnet faucet sends 0.05 test $TSC per request, once every 24 hours per address. There is no faucet on mainnet [11].

curl -X POST https://mempool-testnet.tensorcash.org/api/v1/faucet \
  -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"address": "tct1..."}'
